Partnachklamm Extended Tour

This tour in a nutshell

Join us on this private tour to the famous Partnachklamm where the roaring river Partnach has carved a deep gorge into the mountain. Learn how our ancestors used the wild river to transport logs – with dangerous techniques that will run a chill down your spine.

 

From the gorge, we'll carry on up the mountain to enjoy one of the best vistas in the area. Indulge a hearty lunch before we head down the mountain in a cable car overlooking Partenkirchen. Learn about dark Olympic history in the ski stadium of Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the foot of the mountain where the 1936 Olympic Games were held under Hitler with the world applauding.

 

Please note that this hike – unlike most of our other tours – leads to a rather touristy spot!

• Elevation gain: 570 m (we take the cable car down)
