Bavaria's Rolling Hills

Panorama Hike with Lovely Alpine Vistas and a Cold Surprise

This tour in a nutshell

This guided circuit hike in the region of Fischbachau is a real treat, with panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps. On our hike through the lush rolling hills we enjoy overflowing farmers' gardens, pass through beautiful farms, encounter grazing cattle and horses and marvel at the local peaks. A pilgrimage church from 1710 AD – plain on the outside – surprises us with its exuberant Rococo interior (over 100 angels await) and pilgrims' stories documented in ancient votive offerings.

Dive into the local culture on this guided day trip: Your personal guide will tell you stories about the gnomes living in the mountains, about the cultural landscape of the Alps and the ecology of the alpine region.

On Fridays and weekends, a chalet with panoramic vistas treats us to a traditional Bavarian lunch and a cold beer. On Mondays and Thursdays, we have lunch at a monastery dating back to 1085.
